Owning, Showing & Breeding Japanese Chin since 2009
Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) Permanently Registered

We added our first Japanese Chin to our family back in 2009, one woo-woo and we were completely smitten with that tiny bundle of fur.  We fell in love with Sachio,  showed him to his CKC championship and his Canine Good Neighbor titles, had his eyes, heart, GM2 and patellas certified and bred him in 2011.   We have been participating in our local shows and occasionally breeding Japanese Chin ever since.

Happy, Healthy Champion Bloodlines

All of our Japanese Chin are cherished family members first and show dogs second. Our "kennel" is our home, where our Japanese Chin rule!  We are proud of our small family. Over the years, with very limited local showing, we have had the pleasure of producing many Canadian Champions, including:
Multi Group Placing CKC & DKK Champion Roseheaven's Black Sabbath (Danish import), currently Canada's #1 Japanese Chin for 2026

CKC Champion LPH Chiyoko's Shiori CHIC
and her son Multi Group Placing CKC Champion Chiyoko Chanku CHIC, Canada's #4 Japanese Chin for 2025

CKC Champion Zemstars Mona Lisa
Multi Group Placing CKC GRAND & FCC ELITE Champion Touche North Look N Good, Canada's #6 Japanese Chin for 2014
and their daughters:

CKC Champion LPH Chiyoko's Lacy & CKC Champion LPH Chiyoko's Lily

CKC Champion Touche Nina Ricci
Multi Group Placing & Multi Best of Breed in Specialty CKC GRAND Champion Tobby
, Canada's #4 Japanese Chin for 2014

CKC Champion Sweet Valley Sachio CGN
and his sons:

As recommended by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, prior to breeding, our chin are tested for Gangliosidosis (GM2), patella, eye and heart health.  In addition to the recommended testing we also like Embark's advanced DNA screening for inheritable disease.  Most recently, as the testing has become available in our area,  we have also been able to add the Respiratory Function Grading Scheme (RFGS) test which screens for Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS).  Test results are publicly available on the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) website.
